In addition to the daily academic program, SHS provides Extended Day Care for families from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. at the beginning of the day, and from 2:40 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the end of the day.  Homework Club is offered to older students from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

 

The benefits of Extended Day Care are many:

• The need for additional day care off-site is eliminated, even when school is in session for only a half-day.
   

• While Pre-kindergarten is a half-day, parents may opt for Extended Care lasting a full day for their three- or four-year-old children.
   

• Parents can feel confident that their children are in a familiar, safe, and secure setting.
   

• Children have an opportunity to complete their homework, have a snack, play outdoors or indoors, and watch videos specifically designed for their level.
   

• Children are supervised by an Extended Care coordinator and faculty members
