How to Apply

The Admissions Office encourages families to plan ahead for the admission process. Applications can be submitted well in advance in order to complete the admission process in a timely manner. Re-enrollment forms are sent to our current families in January and are returned by mid-January, after which we begin filling the remaining spaces.

Applications are reviewed throughout the school year as spaces become available.

Sacred Heart School hosts Open Houses during Catholic School's Week (late January/early February) for families interested in learning more about our Pre-K (three and four year olds) through 8th Grade and the SHS experience. Open Houses provide families with an opportunity to tour the school; visit classrooms; and meet faculty, staff, and administration.

Once a family decides to apply and completes an Admission Application to SHS, an appointment will be scheduled for a Principal meeting. Students who apply to grades PreK-8 are welcome to have a "Shadow Day" at their current grade level. A current student will serve as a "student ambassador," taking the visiting student to classes and answering questions.

When SHS receives your application and fee, the Admissions Office will contact you to schedule a screening for your child. Students entering SHS are screened to ensure appropriate placement of the student and to assess any individual needs the student might have. Many families decide to have their child screened on the day they come to shadow.

Once a prospective student is accepted, an enrollment contract follows.  If your family is eligible for reduced tuition (Grades 1-8 only) based on your participation in the life of your parish, you are asked to complete the Supported Student Enrollment Contract.
