Attention Grade 3rd through 8th grade students!
The Saint James Masonic Lodge has generously donated two bikes with helmets for us to raffle off to encourage you to read some books this summer! Please see below for the details!
Who can participate?
Sacred Heart School students in grades 3 through 8 can participate!
How do I participate?
Check off a box on the form each time you read for 20 minutes. Once you’ve checked off all the boxes, return this form for a raffle ticket! Click here for the summer reading program form.
Does my assigned summer reading from my teacher count towards my minutes?
It sure does! Any reading you do counts, including novels, picture books, books you read to a sibling, comic books, and graphic novels. Reading is reading and all minutes count!
How do I register?
No registration required! Just fill out the form and return it this summer to the front office (M-TH between 9am and 1pm), at our Back to School cookout (on 8/28-see website/email for details) or on the first day of school (9/2) in the front office. You’ll get a ticket with your name on it to put in the raffle box of the bike you’d like to try to win!
How many forms can I submit?
There is a limit of (4) submissions per student. One ticket will be issued for each form you submit.
When is the drawing?
A drawing is to be held the first week of school at our Back-to-School Assembly and two members of the Masonic Lodge will be here to draw the tickets and present the bikes to the winners.
If I win, how do I get my bike home?
If you’re the lucky winner, we’ll call your parents to arrange pick up.
Why is it only for grades 3-8?
This is due to the size of the bikes that have been donated.
